At Kailua Beach the Kaelepulu Stream intermittently connects the estuary with the warm waters of Kailua Bay. The painting captures a warm summer day on the windward side of O’ahu. This six-person outrigger canoe (OC6) waits calmly by the outlet of Kaelepulu Stream for its time to be paddled through the waters of the bay.
